Actress Bianca Gonzales slammed a rude netizen who commented on her Instagram post about the Supreme Court’s decision to allow a hero’s burial for the late dictator and former-President Ferdinand Marcos at the Libingan Ng Mga Bayani.
The Kapamilya TV host posted her opinion about the SC’s ruling regarding Marcos’ hero’s burial on her Instagram account.
On her post, she reminded the Filipino people that they should not forget that the freedom they have today was brought about by the many people who sacrificed their lives during the Martial Law period. Her post came with a picture taken at UP Diliman, where protesters were rallying against the SC’s decision.
“Hindi namin ibinabale-wala ang kapangyarihan na meron tayo para magbigay ng opinyon, mag-post sa social media, o lumabas ng bahay kung kelan natin gusto, na ine-enjoy natin ngayon dahil sa libu-libong ibinigay ang buhay nila para ipaglaban ang kalayaan natin. #NeverForget” the Pinoy Big Brother host wrote.
However, an Instagram user with the handle “nataliestark3030” attacked her personally by criticizing her skin color instead of commenting on the context of her post.
“Pwede gumamit kayo ng flash next time para makita kayo sa pic? Lalo at nasa DILIMAN kayo kaya before going to UP Diliman, always bring camera with flash.” the netizen rudely commented, talking about Gonzales’ complexion.
Gonzales immediately slammed her basher as she answered:
The netizen then fired back at Gonzales, questioning her edited post about “gimik”.
The actress refused to lower herself to the level of her attacker and chose to delete the comment thread instead.
Meanwhile, many of her followers agreed with Gonzales’ point about freedom of speech, however some of them continued to bash her stance regarding Marcos’ hero’s burial by mentioning some of the achievements of the Marcos regime.
