Russian personnel found an old lock box during a metal detector sweep over a World War II battle zone. The amazing discovery seems to have belonged to an unknown German soldier.
The box was filled with the personal belongings of a Nazi soldier along with a few historical relics. It contained German Reichsmarks (old currency used during the Nazi reign in Germany), perfectly intact boxes of 70-year–old cigars, Jamaican rums, the soldier’s pin badge and a swatiska.
Some skeptics, however, believe that the discovery was merely meant to stir historians and memorabilia collectors into a frenzy.
