Amid the continued controversy on the extrajudicial killings, the administration remains steadfast and committed to their war against the illegal drugs in the country. Over 700,000 users and pushers have turned themselves over to the authorities for the past months and neighboring countries in the Southeast Asia have been lauding the boldness of President Duterte in fighting the problem.
Just recently, another drug laboratory have been discovered and raided by the Philippine National Police, in partnership with the PDEA, in Cauyayan, Isabela. It is said to be the biggest lab in the North as the facility is capable of producing 200 kg-400kg per cycle. The PNP considers this to be playing a key role in the ongoing drug war in the country. Two of the suspects got killed during the raid when they tried resisting while 2 were arrested. Firearms were also confiscated from the suspects.
Furthermore, PNP Chief Dela Rosa shared that the drug lab has been on the PNP’s watchlist for 8 months now but they had to really confirm the illegal activity before they decided to raid the said lab. They also suspect that the drug laboratory had contacts with the customs to be able to import such technology into the country.
