During the press dinner held for The Greatest Love on September 1 at ABS-CBN'S 9501 restaurant, Sylvia Sanchez said that she was worried that her son Arjo Atayde might grow up to be gay.
In the newest series, Sylvia will be playing the role of a mother who has a homosexual child.
So, sabi ko, 'Oh, my God, baka bading itong anak ko,'” Sylvia admitted.
But she clarified the reason why she was afraid for her son before.
“Don’t get me wrong, I love gays. Suwerte kapag nakahanap siya ng taong magmamahal sa kanya, but what if wala? Yun yung takot ko, e.”
But all of her worries disappeared when her son grew up to be a tough man.
