Angel Locsin will still play the role of Darna in the upcoming movie.
Star Cinema's Managing Director confirmed the said news to the veteran talent manager and entertainment columnist, Aster Amoyo.
In an article published by Pilipino Star Ngayon on September 1, Tita Astier confirmed that Angel will still play Darna, the iconic Filipina super-heroine.
It can be recalled that Angel said that she will no longer play the role of Darna because of a disc bulge injury she sustained. She had to endure the pain of undergoing two major operations.
However, Star Cinema has not yet released a statement regarding the issue.
“Very casual lang ang pagtanong ko, e, kaya I wrote about it,” Tita Aster said.
“The mere fact na hindi nag-a-announce ng ibang pangalan, why do they have to wait this long kung talagang hindi si Angel ang gaganap, di ba?” she said.
“At the same time, inaaway siya ng mga fans. Natatawa siya pero it’s indirectly saying si Angel talaga,” she added.
