What people experience today when it come to their love life is somehow similar to what is now happening in the recent episodes of ‘Til I Met You. Some of you might feel that you are Basti, who is rejected even though you haven’t start courting the girl yet; Ali, who you just found out that whom you love is definitely in love with your best friend; or maybe Iris, in which you found out that the guy you have a “thing” with is gay.
If you have the same feeling and you keep on nodding every time those characters spills their lines and really strikes you hard, or you are moving on from the relationship you had or pulling yourself out from an “almost relationship” that you know won’t work, these five things that you’ll be reading might somehow be known to you. If you are currently moving on, we look forward that this may help you.
1. Sadness always has a point
If you tend to overthink, it usually leads to introspection then eventually to self-realizations. Iris, the thing that got through her head is that the reason why she is much in love with Ali because she desires someone who would really take care of her and protect her, similar to her late Tito Papa who became a good companion to her mother. However, she now have a knowledge of what kind of guy she really wants. But she has to make sure that the next guy that she’ll love is really straight!
2. You can change that negative energy to a positive one
Iris, drowned herself with work to avoid herself form thinking about Ali. Just like her, you can throw yourself from school activities or work to keep your focus away from what you are moving on to. Upon doing this may give your work a “sabog” result but that’s okay. It’s always part of starting over. Time will pass and you’ll see how you picked yourself up from that fall you experienced.
3. Your heart was made for you to let go of all resentment and anger
If you have learned to let go of all the bitterness, you can be able to let contentment and happiness in your heart again.
4. There are many mountains and beached where you can throw your sadness away
Scream or cry as hard as you want to! Let it all out! Mother Nature will surely take it. After comforting you and listen to your rants, she will give you new memories and experiences that is better than the one you had,
5. You can look at them straight in the eye
Not all is fortunate to have a solid and founded friendship just like Ali and Iris has. But a time will come that we’ll be in good terms with the one you cursed before. If they already apologized or not. It may be your fault or not, it will come to a point that everything will be okay. That once you see that person again, you can smile again, and you will feel nothing – no anger, bitterness or the urge to curse them again. Eventually, you’ll be able to see that they are not as bad as you thought they are. You did love him in the first place, didn’t you?
