- He said ‘yes’ and Qin took out the ring and slipped it on her finger

Men always want to make their marriage proposals to their respective partners an unforgettable memory for both of them and that is why they try to think of special ways on how to make it happen and get their girls’ sweet ‘yes’.
Chinese diver He Zi may have only won the silver medal for the women’s 3-meter springboard at the Rio Olympics but she definitely won more than the gold medal after her boyfriend and fellow diver, Qin Kai proposed to her during the medal ceremony.
According to an article published by Telegraph, when He stepped off the medal podium after receiving her silver medal on Sunday, August 14, Qin, who won a bronze medal in the synchronised diving event last week, got down on bended knee, while holding a red box with the engagement ring and a glass-encased rose, as he asked his ladylove to marry him.
Overwhelmed with emotions, He said ‘yes’ and Qin took out the ring and slipped it on her finger.
Time quoted her as saying: “I didn’t know he would propose today. He said a lot of things there at the podium. He made a lot of promises, but the thing that has touched me the most is that I think this is the guy I can trust for the rest of my life.”
The crowd cheered its approval on the newly-engaged couple.
He and Qin have been together for six years now.
This is the second proposal that the people have witnessed at the Rio Olympics.
Last week, Brazilian women’s rugby player Isadora Cerullo said yes to girlfriend Marjorie Enya’s wedding proposal, following the medal ceremony for the inaugural rugby competition.
