- Kris Aquino met with ABS-CBN for a possible TV comeback
- Kris took a break from showbiz last March to focus on her health and family
- Close friend and manager Boy Abunda confirmed the ongoing talk between Kris and the Kapamilya network
Queen of All Media Kris Aquino is planning to return to her showbiz career after taking a break last March to focus on her health and family.
On Kris’ Instagram account, she shared that she is currently in talks with home network ABS-CBN for a possible comeback in Philippine TV.
“On my way to the meeting for my return to TV. Please PRAY with me that whatever will happen & whatever road I’ll travel is God’s best path for me?,” she wrote on her post, not indicating exactly which network she is meeting with but geotagged ABS-CBN’s Eugenio Lopez Communication Center, which indicates she’s meeting with the network.
Close friend and manager Boy Abunda confirmed that talks are now ongoing between Aquino and ABS-CBN, as per an article published by PEP.
“I am not in the position to discuss, pero I know ABS-CBN and Kris are talking about a possible show or shows,” Abunda said.
He said that it was already agreed upon that once Aquino decides to return, it will still be with the Kapamilya station.
“You know, klaro naman yun, e, na kapag halimbawa bumalik si Kris, ang pagkakaalam ko, ha, kapag siya’y nagdesisyong bumalik, sila’y uupo ng ABS-CBN kung ano ang palabas na puwede nilang gawin together,” he added.
[You know, it’s pretty clear that if Kris returns – based on what I know – if she decides to return, she will sit down with ABS-CBN to discuss what programs they can do together.]
Kris’ 1st TV appearance after her vacation was in Marian Rivera’s talk show ‘Yan Ang Morning’, sparking rumors that Kris might be moving to ABS-CBN’s rival network GMA.
But Kris explained that her guest appearance on the show was merely to fulfill a promise she made to Marian’s husband Dingdong Dantes.
