With the spendid and revolutionary start of Duterte’s term as President, many people are inspired to pay great tribute as a sign of gratitude for him. Many artworks have recently been shared in hopes to get to the President and express their support for him.
Another work was shared in honor of him, Dante Enage– a Tacloban artist made a Duterte portrait using coconut wine or “tuba.” The painting was made before the President’s first State of the Nation Address (SONA).
Enage said that he used tuba to showcase the culture of the Waraynon saying: “It’s more than an art form. It’s also my contribution to the local wine-making industry. When people see my painting, they also take a glimpse of our culture.”
He was amazed by what the President have already accomplished in the early parts of his term and his mindset that chooses to look forward.
“Instead of blaming the past, let’s just focus on making the present better”
He is a survivor of the Super Typhoon Yolanda that struck Tacloban. He was also hoping that the President will remember their suffering and help them out.
“Whatever is still lacking, we hope he can help us out.”
He have also made portraits of other known people. Look!
