TV-host comedienne Melai Cantiveros reportedly wants to fix her marriage with husband Jason Francisco.
According to an article published by ABS-CBN News, a source told reporter MJ Felipe that Melai broke down during a taping for an upcoming episode of her morning talk show “Magandang Buhay” when the topic of “forever” was brought up.
Melai is not giving up on her marriage with Jason even after the latter revealed that the two of them are no longer together after almost three years of marriage. She is still hoping they can still solve their marital problems and get back together.
In an open letter, which he shared in a series of posts on the Instagram account of their only child Amelia “Mela” Lucille, Jason revealed that their falling out began after Melai accepted the series “We Will Survive”.
“Nagkahiwalay po kami. Wala na po ang Melason,” he wrote.
[We already separated. There’s no more Melason.]
He said they had an agreement that Melai won’t have a loveteam partner in the series. Based on what Melai told him, he was made aware that his wife will only have an onscreen partner for the pilot week and after that, the story will revolve around the friendship of the characters played by Melai and Pokwang.
Despite this, Jason felt that there’s something wrong.
In his second post, he said that almost two months had passed before he knew that the storyline of Melai in the series was changed and she will be paired with someone.
Jason said he felt betrayed and because of this, they started giving each other the cold shoulder and he began sleeping in another room.
He admitted that the two of them were fighting almost every day.
As a husband, Jason said it’s normal for him to be jealous even if it’s just work.
He admitted that he doesn’t like it when other men touch Melai, saying he’s selfish when it comes to his love for his wife.
