- He thanked Martin and ‘Ang Probinsyano’ makers for helping police win back public’s trust
- Dela Rosa also showed he’s a fan, asked Martin the ending to some cliffhangers
MANILA, Philippines – Coco Martin, aka “SP01 Cardo Dalisay”, reported for duty to General Bato.
In a series of posts on his Twitter, ABS-CBN’s MJ Felipe showed pictures of the actor finally meeting PNP chief Director General Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa in the flesh on Thursday, July 21.
Joining them in their meeting were the staff members of Dreamscape, the producers of the popular police telenovela ‘Ang Probinsyano’.
During their meeting, Dela Rosa expressed his gratitude to Martin and the creators of ‘Ang Probinsyano’ for helping win back the public’s trust in the police.
“Maganda ang ginagawa n’yo sa Ang Probinsyano. Bumabalik ang kumpiyansa ng mga tao sa mga pulis,” he told them.
[You are doing good with Ang Probinsyano. The public’s trust in the police is coming back.]
At the same time, Dela Rosa also admitted to be fan of the show after he asked Martin the conclusion to some of the latest episode’s cliffhangers. He explained he could not follow the show closely because of time constraints.
“Hindi ko nga alam kung anong nangyayari eh. Kasi pag-uwi ko tulog. Nahuli na ba si Cesar? Nabuhay na ba si lolo uncle mo?” Dela Rosa asked Martin.
[I don’t what’s happening, because I sleep when I go home. Has Cesar been captured? Is your lolo uncle alive?]
Dela Rosa was referring to actor Cesar Montano’s character (Police Inspector Hector Mercurio) who tried to assassinate Martin’s paternal figurehead General Delfin S. Borja (played by Jaime Fabregas) in the latest episodes.
Aside from visiting Martin, Dela Rosa also made an appearance in ‘It’s Showtime’ where he gamely granted interviews and won a contest.
