President Rodrigo Duterte grants 68–year old, Rolando De Guzman Santos‘ dream of having a President wear the shoes he made. Santos’ daughter, Rosemarie sent the shoes his father made to Duterte’s Barong designer in hopes that the shoes will be used during Duterte’s first inauguration.
Apparently, Rosemarie have posted on Facebook last month, June about her father’s dream and how she would do everything to help him achieve it.
Although Duterte wasn’t able to use him the shoes during his inauguration and first SONA address, He still made a way to fulfill the man’s dream. He wore the brown boots last July 27 (Wednesday) during his meeting with the US Secretary of State– John Kerry. He was all praises for the shoes while conversing with his Cabinet members.
“Ang Filipino-made, sa craftsmanship number one,” the President said.
