A news about an Indian Cobbler who live for 179 years has been making the rounds on social media sites.
A man named Mahasta Murasi boron on January 1835 is said to be the oldest man to have ever lived. According to the Indian Officials, the man lived up to 1903 and worked as a cobbler until 1957.
“Somehow death forgot about me… And now there’s hardly any hope left. Look at the statistics, nobody dies past 150, even less at 170. At that point, I guess I’m immortal or something. I might as well enjoy it,” said Mr. Murasi.
There are even birth certificate and identity cards that could confirm the said instance.

However, upon doing some research on this matter. It appears that the story of Mr. Murasi is hoax. None of these words are true.
The photo was just found online. It has been used as a meme for quite some time as well. And also, the possibility of living up to 179 years old is impossible. Many old people tend to exaggerate their age especially when there are no documents to reveal their true age.
The oldest person whose age is all documented is a woman named Jeane Calment of France who live for 122 years and passed away in 1997.
