How would you react if the pet groomer accidentally cut your pet’s tongue and even asked you later on to pay for the antibiotics?
Chiqui Caedo Zuniga used Facebook to express her disappointment.
“Brought our Baby Chabbie to Animal House at SM Bicutan this morning for her first grooming. And this is what happened. The groomer accidentally cut her tongue! Ggrrr! And he said he didn’t notice that it happened. Ggrrr!” Zuniga captioned the photos of her dog which she posted on Facebook.
According to her, the Animal House’s in-house veterinarian gave the puppy a tablet to relieve the pain and then prescribed antibiotics.
“Poor Chabbie, she is only five months old and is into antibiotics already…. Chabbie’s tongue will be like this for her whole life…. Nevertheless i love her so much!” she expressed.
Zuniga added that while the consultation was free, they were billed with the cost of antibiotics.
She ended her post telling dog owners — to watch out when they have their dogs groomed, “especially at Animal House SM Bicutan.”
The post went viral and many Facebook users commented on it.
“Oh my goodness! I would have been raging mad! My God! They should fire that groomer. Make a stink! They should not get away with this poor. Poor baby!” L. Lupton commented.
“If this happens to me I will sue the groomer until she goes broke,” said G. Wee.
“The tongue is very vascular there would have been a lot of blood! Poor thing. How could they not have noticed at the groomers?” D. Schoon stated.
“Not a big fan of dogs but this makes me really uncomfortable,” said A. Gutierrez.
Others even advised her to choose the groomer wisely.

Well, pet lovers will probably look even more closely now when their dogs are being groomed.
