Google Philippines has released a video of Filipino online personalities that seek voters to be informed of the country’s issues to help them make an informed choice of who to vote for in the elections.
“Google believes that part of being a significant part of the country’s development as citizens is arming ourselves with the right information,” Google Philippines Communications Head Gail Tan said in a statement.
“There are a lot of resources online. We encourage everyone to seize that advantage and be part of informed conversations that will address issues in our country,” she added.
The personalities in the video asked viewers if they know about the issues on health care, equality, education, foreign policy, corruption employment and peace process.
Among the Youtube icons who participated were Ashley Gosienfiao, Erwan Heusaff, Bogart the Explorer, Jako de Leon, Say Tioco, Chris Cantada, Wil Dsovich and Yael Yuzon, Gosh Dilay, Ted Marck Cruz and Erwin Armovite of band Spongecola.
According to a GMA News Online story, the video is part of Google’s election advocacy campaign, #GoogleMoMuna to encourage voters to search about national issues of concern in this election.
