- Bradley has only nice words for Pacquiao who dominated him on their third meeting
- He described the Filipino boxing legend as the best guy he ever faced in the ring
- He also agreed Pacquiao has not slowed down despite his age
Despite his rousing defeat in the hands of Manny ‘Pacman’ Pacquiao, American boxer Timothy Bradley had only nice words for the eight-division Filipino titlist.
In a post-fight interview, Bradley humbly acknowledged Pacquiao’s seemingly undiminished power in their third meeting at MGM Grand Garden on Saturday (Sunday, Manila time) where he was floored two times in their very entertaining 12-round welterweight match.
“He’s the best guy I’ve ever faced, honestly,” said Bradley who was sent by Pacquiao to the canvass in the 7th and 9th round.
Pacquiao was eventually declared the winner via a unanimous decision in what could be the Filipino sports icon’s last fight of his colorful boxing career.
Bradley, who won over Pacquiao in their first fight but lost in their second, agreed with Top Rank promoter Bob Arum and trainer Freddie Roach in saying that the 37-year-old Pacman has not slowed down.
“He’s explosive, he has a lot of experience, a lot of power, a lot of speed and he’s the best I’ve ever faced in the ring,” Bradley said.
Meanwhile, the Filipino legend and senatorial candidate has announced that he is officially retiring from the sports which made him rich and an international household name. Nevertheless, he is not ruling out a comeback.
“As of now, I am retired,” he told Yahoo! Sports. “I’m going home and will think about it. I want to be with my family. I want to serve the people.”
Pacquiao dominated Bradley in their rubber match last Saturday; with all the three judges scoring an identical 116-110 in favor of the Filipino champion.
