More than 2, 000 years ago, there is a natural disaster that occurred in the Roman City of Pompeii that wiped out the entire city from the map.
The mount Vesuvius erupted back in 79 A.D. which buried the residents with 20 feet of volcanic ash. They could not escape the intense heat of given by the heat of the volcano. The ash preserved the bodies of those who have passed away.
Pompeii was found by archaeologist back in 1738. And it has been a tourist spot in Italy ever since.
They have continued to discover the remains of the residents but what they have found was beyond what they could have imagined.
A couple of remains were seen. There is a baby found on the lap of his mother.
While, there are some which are hugging each other as the tragic event was happening.
