MANILA, Philippines – Hollywood’s veteran action star Steven Seagal has reportedly arrived in the country on Monday, March 21 for a business trip.
His Cathay Pacific airlines flight landed at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) later into the day. He was welcomed at Terminal 3 by former Ilocos Sur Governor Chavit Singson and Terminal Manager Octavio “Bing” Lina.
Seagal did not reveal the details or the purpose of his recent visit to the Philippines but said it has something to do with business. He is believed to be Singson’s guest.
The 63-year-old Undersiege actor was seen boarding Singson’s private jet on the way to Cebu.
This was not Seagal’s first visit to the country, said an article by Ariel Fernandez for the Manila Bulletin.
He once visited the Philippines during the time of then Presidents Ferdinand Marcos and Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo whom he refers to as a ‘friend’.
However, he was surprised after being told that Arroyo had been under detention for her alleged involvement in corruption during her administration.
