The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) has issued a gale warning in Northern Luzon as the surge of the northeast monsoon raises strong winds along the northern and western seaboards.
In its 5 p.m. bulletin on March 26, the state weather bureau noted that a wind force of 52 to 63 kph can be expected along the seaboards of Batanes, Calayan, Babuyan Group of Islands, the northern coast of Cagayan, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union and Pangasinan.
An article published by GMA News mentioned that small vessels were warned against venturing into the sea as conditions will vary from rough to very rough. Big seacraft, on the other hand, are warned of waves that may reach a height of about 3.4 to 4.5 meters.
PAGASA also reported that Cagayan Valley will experience cloudy skies with light rains as effects of the northeast monsoon.
As such, Aurora province will also be affected by this weather condition while partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains will prevail over areas in Ilocos and Cordillera.
Meanwhile, Northern and Central Luzon will experience moderate to strong winds coming from the northeast while their coastal areas is expected to be in moderate to rough conditions.
The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms with light to moderate winds coming from the east to northeast. Sea waters will be in slight to moderate condition.
