BURNLEY, England – A mother spends a huge sum of money on surgery just to look like her own daughter who is more than two decades younger than her. Cool, right?
Unity Blott mentioned in her article for Mail Online published on March 22 that 57-year-old mother Janet Horrocks and 35-year-old daughter Jane Cunliffe surprised the public whenever they say they are not siblings and that they’re 22 years apart.
Well, looking young sure didn’t come cheap as Horrocks has already spent a tremendous of nearly $ 58,000 for breast surgery, fillers and botox in a bid to look younger.
The mother revealed that after her split with former husband 15 years ago, she wanted to get her “glamorous” looks back.
The mother said she had put on weight and felt dowdy and unattractive. “I remember looking at Jane and thinking ‘I used to have a figure like yours’,” she added.
Time had indeed taken its toll on her breasts, she said, and she just felt much in need of some help to reverse the effects of time.
An article by Sophie Roberts for The Sun published on March 22 said that starting 2001, Horrocks had two breast surgeries, an eye-lift, a nose job and veneers; costing nearly $ 29k.
The mother spends another $ 28,000 plus for cosmetic enhancements, including eyebrow tattooing and botox.
Initially, the mother tried to hide her intention from her daughter, but Cunliffe later found out and was not impressed at all.
“When I first told her my new look was based on her, she was shocked and couldn’t understand why a mum would want to look like her daughter,” Cunliffe said.
After numerous procedures, Cunliffe started worrying that she was starting to look like her mother’s older sibling.
“I worried that eventually she’d look younger than me and it was upsetting because a daughter shouldn’t look older than her mother,” the daughter said.
“I felt like my youth had been taken away and it didn’t feel fair. It upset me when people thought we were sisters and it stopped me wanting to go anywhere together,” the daughter added.
Joshua Nevett mentioned in his article for The Mirror published on March 22 that Cunliffe is totally against what her mother is doing and wants to “grow old gracefully” and said she won’t be going for any surgery.
Even though she’s not happy about the tons of money her mother spent on surgeries, Cunliffe had learned to accept the dramatic transformation of her mother.
Meanwhile, despite spending a huge amount of money, Horrocks is not showing any sign of stopping on putting her body into surgery.
“I don’t want to die a wrinkly old woman, I’ll be having that needle on my death bed,” she said.
‘‘I always wanted to maintain this look. It’s just me and I can’t help it. I will continue to do so until the day I die,” she added.
