WEST LOTHIAN, Scotland – A video showing a bride unable to control her fits of laughter while trying to say her vows on the altar emerged online and is drawing jolly attention from the online community.
Harriet Mallinson said in her article for Mail Online published on February 16 that Stephanie and Andy Cheesman were standing together at the altar trying to say their vows when the bride suddenly bursts into giggles and ‘ruined’ the solemnity of the moment.
The couple, who are from Livingston in West Lothian, Scotland, were having a ceremony at the Deer Park County Golf Club when the registrar read out the vow: “I promise to challenge you when appropriate,” and asked Stephanie to repeat the line.
However, even before she could start saying the words, she was consumed by a fit of giggles.

The Stephanie was asked to take Andy’s hand in hers, she started laughing again which draws more laughter from the crowd as she appears to have a momentary blank on left and right hands.
When the bride was asked again to repeat the vow, “I promise to challenge you when appropriate”, she started laughing again. The bride’s laughter was so contagious that the crowd couldn’t stop laughing along with her.
The bride once more tried to compose herself and takes one more look at her partner, and again, she convulses with laughter all over; holding her hand to her mouth as she shrieks and flaps her hand to her face.
An article by Kara O’Neill for The Mirror published on February 16 said that Andy keeps his cool and he holds his hand to his forehead and shakes his head; jokingly despairing of his love’s hysterics at such a momentous occasion.
“Sorry,” Stephanie says to Andy while hand flapping madly in front of her face in an attempt to calm her hilarity.
“You can change you mind now you know!” someone jokes from the crowd.
The video was uploaded on Facebook by Tony Cheesman, believed to be Andy’s brother. Stephanie has commented on the video.
“I just couldn’t stop laughing the humanist said he’d never had anyone laugh before like I had,” Stephanie said.
