- Actress Rossana Roces is planning to marry her lesbian partner
- Roces’ revelation came amid the furor over Manny Pacquiao’s controversial remark against gay couples
- The 43-year-old star refused to reveal the girl’s name and did not say when they will get maried
MANILA, Philippines – Former sexy actress Rosanna Roces is planning to marry her partner who she said is a lesbian. However, the 43-year-old Ligaya ang itawag mo sa akin star refused to reveal the name of the girl.
In an interview on “Tonight with Boy Abunda” on Wednesday night, Roces, or ‘Osang’ to her friends and fans, told Abunda she finally found her match after a string of past relationships with men.
“I found my match. Alam mo kung paano ako magpalit ng lalaki noon, parang nagpapalit lang ng damit,” Roces said. [You know how I hopped from one man to another back then, as often as I changed my clothes.]
She added: “Parang may something missing. So ayun, nakita ko na iyong something missing.” [I felt as if there is something missing. So there, I finally found that something missing.]
Recalling how they met, Roces further revealed the two of them were actually a couple when she was only 15 years old. But their relationship turned sour after she decided to marry the father of her eldest daughter Grace.
They eventually broke up, with the girl supposedly believing that Roces chooses Grace’s father over her.
“Which is not kasi ginamit ko lang talaga siya para magkaroon ng baby na palalakihin namin,” the former Seiko actress narrated. [Which is no truet, because I just used [Grace’s father] for us to have a baby to raise.]
After her first marriage failed, Roces had been involved with several other men, both showbiz and non-showbiz; but she admitted she never have had any ‘serious’ relationship until now.
After almost three decades, she met again her lesbian partner and the couple had since become inseparable. Roces also confessed she’s now a ‘renewed’ woman after seeking God later in life.
“Kapag pala tinatama mo ang buhay mo, lahat pala ng mga bisyo mo na hindi mo gusto nandiyan, kusang mawawala with the help of the Lord. God hates the sin not the sinner,” she added.
[If you really amend your past, all the vices you that you abhor will go way by itself with the help of the Lord. God hates the sin, not the sinner.]
Roces, however, did not say when are they planning to tie the knot.
Same-sex marriage was inadvertently put in the limelight recently after Sarangani Representative Manny Pacquiao was quoted as saying that gay couple are worse than animals, earning him huge backlash from the LGBT community.
Earlier, host Boy Abunda condemns Pacquiao by saying the Filipino boxer has crossed the line with his scathing remarks that compares gay people to animals.
