Love, they say, should be an inspiration. Apparently, such is the kind of love that artist Curtis Wiklund has found.
In an article written by Julijia Televiciute of Bored Panda, it was disclosed that Wiklund, a Michigan-based wedding photographer, drew every day for a whole year to document his life with his beloved wife Jordin. According to him, he began his project after one inspiring conversation with her.
“After an inspiring conversation with my wife, I decided to join her photo 365 project with my own drawing 365 project. One Drawing per day for 365 days,” Wiklund said.
Wiklund shared that: “During that year, many people told us they felt like they got to know us better through the drawings, like they were a peek into our personal life.”
Because of the project which was inspired by love, Wiklund gained the admiration of many people online.
“You have inspired me, starting tomorrow valentines I’m drawing my days with my dogs. You are such an inspiration to upcoming artists. I hope they learn, being an artist is just in our blood. And yes, there are times we need a break. this is gonna be fun, and you sir, I love your style too. Godspeed,” J. Kissler wrote on Facebook.
“You two get me right in the feels. Love your drawings,” said Instagram user @valvaldezpt.
“You guys are the best. You give us the goals of being a couple. I love your art. May god keep you all blessed,” said @kitne_aadmi_the.
“I am so in love with your artwork and storytelling. It inspires me so much,” @mikeallyxander expressed.
While some have their own favorite, like Facebook user H. Pilo who shared: “In the 365 days project, I love the drawing which description is ‘My sleepy girl.’ I can feel how much you love to your wife from it. It’s very touching. I enjoy to watch your drawings so much.”
Wiklund is now working on publishing a book of his sketches.
