Being responsible for the sole custody of your child is a tough ordeal for single parents out there. For a separated couple with a child, negotiations between both parties are often required in order to guarantee the child’s welfare. However, some negotiations end with a headache. Earlier this week, notable host Raffy Tulfo resolved a similar case.
A single mother named Claudine Mariano was stuck in complicated negotiations with the father of her child. The distraught mother turned to Raffy Tulfo to resolve her issue with Allan Dupan, who works as an OFW in the United States.
Apparently, the two have been having trouble communicating with one another regarding child support for their 2-year-old kid. During the program, Mariano narrated their problems to host Raffy Tulfo:
“Pagbalik nya po sa US, hindi na po sya magpapadala. Pag nagre-remind po ako sa kanya, lagi nya po ako minumura. ‘Yun po ‘yung masakit sakin. Ginagawa ‘ko lang po ‘yung part ‘ko as a mom.”
While he was away working abroad, Mariano was left in the Philippines to take care of their child. However, Dupan falters in providing child support, making Mariano the sole financier for their child.
Aside from failing to properly sustain his child’s financial needs, the distraught mother also complained about her visitation rights.
On the other hand, Dupan reasoned that he needed a receipt of all the expenses to make sure that the money he’s sending will be allocated to his kid.
