During the campaign period, President Rodrigo Duterte have vowed to free the country of drugs and crime within his first 6 months in office. Since he came to power, news and rumors on the blood-filled drug war of the President and the Philippine National Police (PNP) have been the limelight of both local and international news, portraying the President as a blood-crazed dictator responsible for the widespread death.
However, despite all controversies, both statistics and the people prove how the war have also done good for the lives of many drug suspects who have surrendered to the authorities, proving to have made a huge positive impact for the country.
Proving that the government is not all about war, a mega rehabilitation facility in Nueva Ecija have been built to house up to 10,000 recovering drug patients. The said facility is the first of four.
Proud supporter of Duterte, Mocha Uson shares in her page a video of the Philippine National Police (PNP) taking part in rebuilding the lives of drug suspects and pushers through training and employment. In the said video, Jojo Larga Recio shows the people the side of the President’s war that have either been kept from us or we have just failed to see.
Read Recio’s full statement below:
“The government’s drive to eliminate the problem on drugs can only be successful if us, the private citizens and private corporations will do our share. “On our part, we opted not to be critical about it. Instead, we thought of ways on how we can help the government. After all, it is the welfare of our children and the next generation which is at stake.
“Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country.”
