We are often deceived by what our eyes see.
Just take a look at these very realistic sculptures. They are so realistic that it would take you a long time to distinguish what is real or not.
In Spain, a collection of the best and most impressive masterpieces from the exhibition Hyper-realist Sculpture 1973-2016 at the Museum of Bellas Artes de Bilbao is on display.
If you think what you see is a homeless man sleeping, well you’re wrong.
Peter Land who came from Denmark made this sculpture from silicone and real hair.
In this exhibition, every ‘people’ you see are all made out of silicone.
The sculpture “Grandmother with her grandson” that was made by San Jinks from Australia is one of the famous sculpture in the exhibition.
Jinks has become famous for making unbelievably detailed sculptures of humans. He works with silicone and makes figures of different ages which depicts that humans are really fragile.
In the film industry, Jinks worked as an illustrator and at the same time as a silicone artist.
“General Twins” made by American Carole A. Feuerman is also one of the most popular pieces in the exhibit.
Feuerman regularly used water which for her is a symbol for the search for inner harmony.
It can be seen in one of her beautiful sculptures which feature artificial water drops.
Another artist, Serbian Marc Siljan works with a magnifying glass and a model just to make sure that his masterpiece is as realistic as possible
