Despite the ongoing senate hearing on the alleged extrajudicial killings, there isn’t much progress yet the disturbing increase number of deaths connected to illegal drugs. And just as much an overwhelming part of masses support the administration’s war against drugs, many oppositions have also surged into protests.
One of which is the “just-in” reported protest held in New York City last August 23. They held it in front of the Philippine Consulate on Fifth Avenue. Protesters held signs saying: “Drug dealing and drug use should not be reasons for execution!”; “Stop the killings” and “Duterte is a mass murderer”. Surprisingly, with the viral photos, the protests didn’t just consist of Filipinos but also foreigners.
The photos caused a major wildfire in the social media sites and angered the supporters of Duterte.
Meanwhile, the photos has reached 12, 675 shares and 17k likes.
