Ealier last year, the 8,000 stranded OFW in Saudi Arabia reached out to the government for help. And fortunately, they made it to Duterte’s promises back in the campaign.
And so, recently, being true to his words, the President ordered Department of Labor and Employment to fly to Riyadh and rescue these stranded OFW.
Secretary Silvestre Bello is to prepare all the necessary documents and tickets for these 8,000 OFW can now reunite with their families in the Philippines.
These OFWs are stranded as their previous employers confiscated their documents and passports making them immigrants. These left them to live in the streets with some selling their own blood just to earn some money.
But now, they are thankful and with hope, that sooner, they can go back to their homes here in the Philippines.
