Business establishments in the Philippines are now taking advantage of the Pokemon GO craze; offering Pokemon-inspired products and promos.
A lot of Pokemon-inspired products — like pizza and cakes — and promos — such as free dessert and even free overnight stay — are now being promoted on Facebook.
In Bon Doys restaurant, a Pokeball pizza is now being sold.
“Poke Ball Pizza! Only at Bon Doys chicken diner! The first in the Philippines!” Bon Doys said.
The Pokemon-inspired food, however, will not be present for a long time.
“Hurry available for a limited time only! Gotta eat them all!” the restaurant added.
There are also Pokemon-inspired cakes and cupcakes now, just like what are being offered by Playdough Cakes.
“Pokemon Fondant Cakes & Cupcakes,” Playdough cakes called its product, sharing some photos on Facebook.
Aside from food, Pokemon-inspired discounts and promos are also scattered because of the Pokemon GO craze.
For instance, FAT is now offering a 15 percent discount to Pokemon trainers who will dine in the restaurant.
“We are just across a PokeStop! Come and catch your Pokemons inside FAT while you indulge on epic comfort food dishes. Pokemon trainers get 15% OFF on a minimum food bill of P500, all day! Discount not valid on Lunch Specials and in conjunction with other promos,” FAT wrote.
Free desserts are also offered in some restaurants, like in Blackbeard’s Seafood Island.
“TRAINERS, you’d definitely be loving this. Get a FREE DESSERT if you catch your Pokémon inside our premises. Just show a screenshot to avail of your prize. So let’s go search far and wide, claim your rightful place. #SeafoodBondingExtreme style. Pokémon and #SeafoodIslandNation as your best friends. Gotta Catch ‘Em All! Promo runs from August 10-31, 2016. Not applicable in Bacolod, Pampanga, North EDSA, Marikina, and Cebu,” said Blackbeard’s Seafood Island.
Meanwhile, drive-in hotel Victoria Court is also encouraging Pokemon trainers to look for Pokemons in the property for a chance to win an overnight stay.
“Hey, Pokemon Trainers! It’s time to level up your #PokemonGo experience! Go catch a Pokemon in any Victoria Court property and get a chance to win a FREE overnight stay! Some of our properties have their own Pokestops so you’ll never run out of Pokeballs. Go catch ’em all here at Victoria Court!” Victoria Court stated.
Pokemon GO is a game app that uses real locations and give players the chance to search for Pokemons in the real world. The game app was just launched in the Philippines last Saturday, August 6, 2016.
