• Comedienne Matutina is in need of financial help
• Actress Nadia Montenegro said Matutina is in critical condition
• Nadia is urging people to send their donations through Damay Kamay Foundation
Comedy actress Evelyn Bontogon-Guerrero, most popularly known as the shrill-voiced Matutina from the defunct comedy show “John and Marsha”, is in need of financial assistance.
Actress Nadia Montenegro, a member of the Damay Kamay Foundation, an organization founded by concerned artists in the entertainment industry to provide assistance for artists in need during medical emergencies, urged people to help the comedienne who is in critical condition.
Nadia posted on her Instagram account a photo collage of the comedy actress with the following message:
“Since July 9, 2016, actress Evelyn B. Guerrero or known as ‘Matutina’ from John & Marsha has been in the ICU in a hospital in Q.C. She is in critical condition and needs financial help. She is scheduled to have a surgery (thyroidectomy) this week. We are just waiting for the result of her biopsy. I hope you could help me. Let us all include her in our prayers. Any help through #DamayKamayFoundation will be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much.”
Though conscious, Matutina cannot talk because of a tube in her throat. She communicates by writing. Nadia shared that the comedienne is dependent on oxygen support. Without it, she cannot breathe on her own.
Cash donations could be sent through Damay Kamay Foundation’s bank account: Security Bank Tomas Morato Branch checking account number 5318 2600 0275 0061.
