- Former North Cotabato Gov. Manny Piñol dares Roxas to do the “Korina Experiment”
- He challenges him to let her walk Davao City’s streets in the middle of the night
- If she doesn’t make it safely, Duterte must stop touting his achievements in Davao City
- If she does, then it’s Roxas who should stop claiming the city is crime-infested
MANILA, Philippines – It’s time to put up or shut up.
In response to Liberal Party (LP) standard bearer Mar Roxas’ persistent claim of Davao City still being mired in crime and illegal drugs, former North Cotabato Gov. Manny Piñol challenged him to prove his argument right by having his wife Korina Sanchez walk in the city streets at night.
Calling it the “Korina Experiment”, Piñol said this is the ultimate test to see whether who’s telling the truth: Roxas or Rodrigo Duterte.
“Roxas could very well prove his point that Davao City is unsafe by asking his beautiful wife to walk the side streets of Davao City, wearing expensive jewellery and toting her signature handbag, in the middle of the night,” he said on his Facebook.
According to Piñol, if Roxas’ wife is victimized by criminals, then that means he is right and Duterte has to stop touting his achievements in Davao City.
“If Korina is robbed and mugged, then Roxas would be proven right and Duterte has to stop bragging about Davao City being his Exhibit A,” he said.
However, Roxas has to forever shut up should his wife make it safe and sound.
“On the other hand, if Korina reaches the other end of the dark alley untouched, then Roxas should stop his blabber to tarnish the image of Davao City in a desperate attempt to win the Presidency,” he said.
