The world is about to change for this homeless man who sat on the same street corner for 3 years straight, rain or shine, in Webster, Texas.
He is literally The Script's 'The Man Who Can't Be Moved.'
Passerbys and locals were already concerned for him for being stuck in one spot for years now.
"Someone needs to do something about that guy," locals used to grumble as they drove past.
However, no one actually did something for him. This is until one day, a concerned mother named Ginger Sprouse stopped in front of him and rolled out her car window.
She learned that the homeless man was named Victor Hubbard and that he is 32 years old. All along, people believed that Victor is homeless, but it turns out that he's suffering a mental illness.
Ginger asked him why he chose to stay in the same place for 3 years, and she didn't expect to hear this answer.
Victor shared that his mother abandoned him 3 years ago. He was struggling with his illness at the same time.
The reason he remained in that spot is because he is hoping that his mother will come back for him one day.
After talking to him, Ginger immediately shared a bond with Victor. She started paying him visits during her lunch breaks.
Ginger worried about Victor's health as time went by. She and her husband decided to let Victor into their home whenever he feels cold and hungry.
Even this didn't felt enough for Ginger, which is why for three months she offered to get Victor some help for his mental illness. He received psychiatric treatment and before you know it, Victor is out of the streets and now working in Ginger's restaurant.
The kind woman documented Victor's life story and shared it on Facebook with the title: 'This is Victor.'
It instantly gained praises from netizens and it has inspired many lives. Soon, people from around the world began donating clothes and help for Victor.
Just recently, Victor got reunited with his mother.
"I got to talk to her and I really feel like I accomplished something," Victor told KHOU News.
Up to today, he is still grateful for Ginger because if it wasn't for her, he might still be waiting in that exact same spot.
