In a statement released by Google on Wednesday, this year’s trending gadgets in the Philippines were highlighted in its annual “Year in Search” which is a mix of high-end and mid-range smart phones.
Gail Tan, Google Philippines head of communications and public affairs, said: “In a way, the Year in Search offers us a glimpse of what we liked as a people, what issues affected us, what sparked our interest, and everything in between that appealed to our emotions the past year.”
Apple dominated the top spot, being the 1st and 2nd most searched phones this year, with their iPhone X and iPhone 8. With iPhone X and iPhone 8 topping the list, it just shows that Filipinos aspire to get a hold of the “latest” despite the phones being very pricey.
Chinese brand Huawei didn’t get left behind as it ranked 3rd with its Nova 2i smart phone, while another Chinese brand Oppo has the most number of gadgets on the list.
And look, Nokia makes it with their Nokia 6 and with the reborn of their 3310.
