A controversial issue of Leni Robredo’s alleged first marriage became viral when the photo that comes with it was somehow very convincing! The viral post claimed that Robredo is married to a leftist before the late former Secretary Jesse Robredo.
But recently, the original owner of the photo turn down the allegations and made everything clear. Apparently, it was the son of the couple in the photo, Jenielson Canlas that it was his parents who are in the viral photo.
According to him, he posted the photo last year on June 16 to greet his parents, Daniel and Jennet Canlas on their anniversary. He reposted it this year, to greet them on their 25th last June 16. But after a week, his friend tagged him in a post. Jenielson said “May concerned friend ako na tinag name ko sa isang post sa isang page dito sa FB. Sabi niya: “parents mo ito, ‘di ba?” Then nagulat ako kasi picture nila yun nina mama at papa nang kinasal sila. Nakita ko iyon gabi ng June 24 po.”
On June 25, he was flooded with more messages. “Then June 25, ang dami ko nang natanggap na messages nag send sila ng mga screenshots nung mga posts sa mga blogs, etc na nandun nga ulit pictures nina papa,” he said. He then, did research on the sources of the viral posts and sent them personal messages that the picture is of his parents and not at all related to Leni Robredo.
When asked about his message to the people behind the fake viral post he said:
Daniel and Jennet Canlas got married on June 16, 1992 at Colgante Parish Church in Apalit, Pampanga.
