But a woman from the province of Shaanxi in China had to break the norm after her husband got paralyzed.
Her husband Xu Xihan was paralyzed from an accident as he was mining back in 2002. Xie Xiping, the wife took care of him but filed a divorce to marry the best friend of her husband.
The neighbors thought that she was already leaving her husband. But instead of abandoning him, she took care of him.
Xu Xihan wanted her wife to be happy as well that is why he convinced Xie to marry his besttfriend Liu Zongkui. Liu is the one who helped them take care of Xie and the ex-husband Xu. They got married in 2009.
In 2012, a new blessing was born and added to their bizarre family.
