Many netizens were amazed and were left in awe in this video posted by Funniest and Craziest Videos By Diply. The video already garnered more than a million views and was already shared for almost 7,000 times. The breath-taking video also garnered more than 19,000 Facebook reactions less than one hour after it was posted. It is no wonder the video was widely accepted by the social media community.

The less-than-a-minute footage features a man diving in one of the deepest and darkest underwater holes on Earth. What made this more amazing is the fact that he seemed to be traveling the surface of the ocean as easily as he does on land. He is not wearing any underwater instrument such as underwater oxygen tank. There is no any air apparatus that would supply him air while on the ocean surface. It is really a breath-taking footage for many.

The man on the video is not a superhuman. He is actually a professional diver named Guillame Nery. Nery has been traveling to capture footage like this with the help of a professional underwater cameraman and film maker, Julie Gauthier. What seemed to be Nery’s powerful ability to dive into the Tiputa pass, part of the Rangiroa, French Polynesia is actually a camera trick they performed. It was not a single-shot but rather several dive scenes edited seamlessly to produce a footage that would make the viewers hold their breaths.

This video is actually part of Nery and Gauthier’s short film entitled ‘Ocean Gravity’. The film was reported to be a short film that  “rewrites the rules of the underwater world and takes us this time into the world of the weightlessness”. This is to show the similarity of space and underwater where there is no concept of top or bottom or even upside or downside. It shows how weightless one can be in space.

“For as long as I can remember, my diving propels fed my imagination in that fantasy of the conquest of space. To touch the bottom of the sea or to set foot on an unexplored planet, those were two fascinating adventures which fed my thirst for the unknown. The discovery of this quite unique place (Tiputa – Rangiroa – French Polynesia) allowed us to finally pair the visual closeness of these two universes of water and air, ocean and space,” Néry said, courtesy of lesfilmsengloutis.com.

The French filmmakers continue on making amazing films that are truly unbelievable.
